Exterior Waterproofing

ABOUT
Exterior Waterproofing
The exterior waterproofing process begins with digging around the outside of the walls down to the footer, exposing the foundation. Once the area is prepared, a waterproofing spray is applied to create a protective barrier against moisture. Next, a Platon Membrane is installed to further enhance waterproofing and prevent water infiltration. Finally, the area is backfilled with gravel, ensuring proper drainage and protecting the foundation from future water damage.

Our Exterior Waterproofing Process
Exterior waterproofing is essential for protecting your home from water damage and ensuring a dry, healthy living environment.
Here are the steps we use to ensure no water gets into your home.
1. Excavation: We carefully dig around the outside of your foundation walls down to the footer, fully exposing the foundation.
2. Foundation Sealer: A specialized waterproofing sealer is applied to create a strong, protective shield against moisture.

3. Membrane Installation: A durable Platon Membrane is installed over the foundation to enhance waterproofing and prevent water infiltration.

4. Replace footer line: We replace the footer drain at the base of the foundation when necessary. To ensure proper water flow, the drain can be directed either to a sump pump or away from your home, depending on the best available drainage option.

5. Backfill with Gravel: The excavated area is filled with gravel to improve drainage and help direct water away from the foundation, reducing the risk of future water damage.

6. Top with Dirt: A layer of soil is placed on top to restore the landscape and ensure a clean, finished look.
